The University of Michigan Flint has once again set an enrollment record. In an article
from the Flint Journal the campus enrollment was reported to be up 1.5% for the Fall 2011 semester. The current enrollment is 8,262 students. The change is greatly attributed to an increase in foreign students. The number of foreign students in 2011 was 229. This year foreign student enrollment is 316 students. That is a 38% increase in foreign students. The college believes that the growth in student enrollment will continue into the future.
